What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain robust, high-quality code to train and optimize AI models.
- Perform model evaluations (Evals) to benchmark performance and generate actionable insights for improvement.
- Review and rank AI model responses across multiple domains, ensuring they meet quality and alignment standards.
- Write clear explanations and rationales for evaluations, demonstrating strong reasoning and technical depth.
- Take ownership of Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT), including the creation and maintenance of high-quality, task-specific datasets.
- Collaborate with researchers and annotators to execute Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF) and refine reward models.
- Develop evaluation strategies and processes to enhance model alignment with user needs and ethical guidelines.
- Draft and refine ideal model responses, focusing on clarity, accuracy, and relevance.
- Conduct peer reviews of code and documentation, sharing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
- Work cross-functionally with product and research teams to continuously improve model performance.
- Explore and integrate emerging tools, frameworks, and methodologies to optimize training workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven ability to write clean, modular, and maintainable code in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with code reviews and enforcing best practices for code quality and readability.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong background in web application development with scalable, modular architecture and a focus on testing, stability, and security.
- Proficiency with Python, JavaScript ES6, and at least one framework such as Node.js, NestJS, React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Solid understanding of modular development principles and best practices for building scalable systems.
- Mandatory Docker knowledge and hands-on experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) or software QA and test planning.
- Exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs), including prompt design for tools like ChatGPT.
