In this role, you will leverage your knowledge of records management and historical documentation to train AI systems, shaping the future of digital knowledge preservation and research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train, evaluate, and provide expert feedback to AI models on archival content, ensuring high-quality outputs.
- Appraise, edit, and direct the safekeeping of permanent records and historically valuable materials as part of AI training workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data labeling and annotation requirements for AI learning purposes.
- Participate in research activities to enhance AI comprehension and application of archival methodologies.
- Curate and organize digital archival materials to support ongoing AI model development.
- Document training processes and provide recommendations for continuous model improvement.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, ensuring accuracy and authenticity in the AI’s understanding of archival concepts.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an archivist, records manager, or in a closely related archival role (e.g., Digital Archivist, University Archivist).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to appraise, organize, and preserve permanent records and historical documents.
- Familiarity with digital archiving standards, metadata schemas, and archival best practices.
Comfort with remote collaboration tools and digital platforms. - Keen analytical skills and a passion for accuracy in data management.
Interest or experience in AI, machine learning, or digital transformation projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with AI training, data annotation, or digital content management.
- Advanced degree in Library Science, Archival Studies, History, or related field.
- Experience participating in or leading research based on archival materials.
